THE ORDER OF PRIORITY
Bible: 1TIMOTHY 4: 6-10
Main verse: 1TIMOTHY 4: 8 – For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

– In our lives, there are always things that we put first before anything else, like marriages, children upbringing, education and career. When we prioritize them, we let others know that they are important to us.
– That’s in our physical lives. In our spiritual life, there are also things that we have to consider doing first before other things. God had commanded us to do them, not only because they are important to us, but they are also beneficial to our lives, physically and spiritually.
1TIMOTHY 6: 6 – Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
1TI-MÔ-THÊ 6: 6 – Vả, sự tin kính cùng sự thỏa lòng, ấy là một lợi lớn.
2PETER 3: 11 – Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness.
– Those duties includes: praying, studying the Bible and attending church regularly. We should think of attending church on Sunday regularly like students going to school for their education. Students cannot graduate if they skip school too often, so Christians who are often absent from church services lose their faith eventually.
LEVITICUS 23: 3 – Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
LEVITICUS 16: 31 – It is a sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a statute forever.
LÊ-VI-KÝ 16: 31 – Ấy sẽ là một lễ Sa-bát, một ngày nghỉ cho các ngươi, phải ép linh hồn mình; đó là một lệ định đời đời vậy.
HEBREWS 10: 25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
HÊ-BƠ-RƠ 10: 25 – Chớ bỏ sự nhóm lại như mấy kẻ quen làm, nhưng phải khuyên bảo nhau, và hễ anh em thấy ngày ấy hầu gần chừng nào, thì càng phải làm như vậy chừng nấy.
– Studying the Bible is another task that Christians should always do. We claim to love God, so we should listen to His words in the Bible. When two people say that they love each other, but could not communicate with each other, their love would turn cold and they would break.
1JOHN 5: 3 – For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
2TIMOTHY 3: 15 – And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
– When we study the Bible, we listen to what God says to us in its verses. God wants us to know His plans for mankind and the salvation in Jesus Christ. God wants us to know about His glorious kingdom where we will live forever with Him. God wants to tell us how to live properly in order to gain joy and happiness. If we don’t study the Bible, we will never know of those things.
HEBREWS 1: 2 – God has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.
– With these three, prayer is the most important thing that Christians should prioritize to be the first and try their best to pray every day.
1TIMOTHÊ 2: 1 – Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
1TI-MÔ-THÊ 2: 1 – Vậy, trước hết mọi sự ta dặn rằng, phải khẩn nguyện, cầu xin, kêu van, tạ ơn cho mọi người,
– Praying is like talking to God. It is like children talking to their loving father. God already knows what we need, but He wants us to tell Him anyways.
– Some Christians don’t receive much from Him because they often forget to pray to God even when they are in need of something. Prayer is the most important duty for Christians, but is also the most forgotten. We are quick to do other things than to pray.
COLOSSIANS 4: 2 – Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
– If we understand the important roles of these three things and make them our top three priorities, then we will surely experience a different life than what we have had until now. We will experience God’s power in us to live happily and peacefully through life disregarding of circumstances.
– God had made promises to reward us when we prioritize these three things. May God bless us abundantly as we try our best to do them from now on. Amen.
