THE DANGER OF DIVISION

BEING AWARE OF SATAN’ SCHEME

Bible: Matthew 12: 22-37

Main verse: MATTHEW 12: 25 – Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

One of Satan’ scheme to destroy Christianity is breaking the unity of Christian communities.

He attacked the early churches with division with different teachings and being baptized by who.

1Corinthians 1: 10-16

There is only one way, one teaching that Christians should follow. The way and the teaching of the Bible.

ROMANS 16: 17 – I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

Those who create division among Christians will not be allowed into the Kingdom of God. Those who take sides will have the same fate.

GALATIANS 5: 19-22 – 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, 20 idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy, drunkenness, orgies and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God will not fight for us in this kind of battle because the division in Christian communities will show who is loyal to God and have His approval.

1CORINTHIANS 11: 19 – No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.

Therefore we Christians must understand and distinguish clearly which one is true teaching and which one is fake, then unify together in order to survive and become victorious in this kind of battle with Satan.
