THE CORRECT WAY TO INTERPRET THE TRUTH IN THE BIBLE
– As we can see, God has given mankind one Bible only, but there has been many interpretations of it. That is one of the main reasons that made Christian church to have many denominations.
– On individual level, many Christians have been confused about truth in the Bible because of many interpretations and they do not know which one is the real truth and which one is fake.
– There is the best and correct way to distinguish the real from the fake: We must compare what has been interpreted or explained to the rest of the Bible. If they were contradicting to each others, that interpretation was incorrect. If they were agreeable, harmonious and consistent with each others, it’s the correct one.
– For the case of incorrect ones, people usually interpret the Bible with their academic knowledge or personal perception. They thought they were good at understanding Scriptures without bothering to ask for help from the Holy Spirit. That’s why their interpretations were often contradicting to each others.
– For if they all asked for help from the Holy Spirit fervently with all their hearts and minds, their interpretations would be consistent to the simplest point.
– All of us Christians, from scholars to an ordinary ones, we must remember this verse when trying to interpret or understand the Scriptures:
2TIMOTHY 3: 16 – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2TI-MÔ-THÊ 3: 16 – Cả Kinh thánh đều là bởi Đức Chúa Trời soi dẫn, có ích cho sự dạy dỗ, bẻ trách, sửa trị, dạy người trong sự công bình.
– This verse is the foremost importance among the basic principles in Scripture’s interpretation. It lets us know that the whole Bible that we have in our hands was inspired and reserved by God for the world.
– When we believe that God is omnipotent then we must also believe that the Bible, as in its present form, has been reserved by Him. We accept that there are some minor mistakes here and there in the Bible that came from translating works, but its main theme is whole. correct and complete.
– Therefore, if any of our readers do not agree to this point, you don’t need to read more, it’s just a waste of your time. If the above quoted verse could not be accepted, there’s nothing more to discuss.
