MATTHEW 13: 11

BIBLE COMMENTARY

MATTHEW 13: 11 – He replied: Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

– In this verse there are 3 parts that we should notice:

1. THE SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are real and cannot be understood by human mind. They are also invisible things that human cannot test them by normal procedures.

2. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is given by God. People will not have it if they rely on personal wisdom, higher education or knowledge to understand them.

3. God gives THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN to those belong to Him, not to everyone, especially not to those who don’t have true faith in Jesus Christ. They are outsiders and never have the knowledge or understand them.

Because the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven cannot be understood by human mind, so we Christians must pray to God and rely on the Holy Spirit to understand them.

In the Scripture God has revealed some of the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven.

ROMANS 11: 25 – I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

There is only some of Israelites that will be saved and admitted into the Kingdom of Heaven. Some people from other nations will be saved, too.
