EPHESIANS 1: 7-10
BIBLE COMMENTARY
EPHESIANS 1: 7-10 – 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 HE MADE KNOWN TO US THE MYSTERY OF HIS WILL according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment, to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
– A person’s sins in the past will be washed away by Jesus’s blood when he believes Him.
– God will forgive sins that a person committed in the past if he confesses and accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior.
– It happens because of God’s love and mercy to mankind, not because of how much worthy a person is.
– Because of His love to mankind, God has revealed His eternal plan recorded in the Bible, not before, but after Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross.
– God’s children can only understand the mystery during the end time, when the times reach their fulfillment according to God’s plan.
– It happens because God wants to put all things, including the revealed mystery, under the rule of Christ.
