ENEMIES OF CHRISTIANITY
Christians have already had many enemies in this life. But God’s children often don’t know how to deal with them. The main reason is that we have misunderstood Jesus’ command in Matthew 5: 44
MATTHEW 5: 44 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Christians’ main enemy is Satan, as indicated in 1Peter 5: 8
1PETERS 5: 8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Satan is the enemy of God, so Jesus does not mean that Christians should ever pray for Satan and his servants.
Jesus wants us to pray for those we offended because of our wrongdoing in the past when we were unbelievers. That’s why they hate us, curse us, use us and persecute us. Those are people we should pray for them and bless them, do good to them to show our repentance to our sins in the past.
But when they attack the church, the belief in Jesus Christ and our brothers and sisters in the faith, they are our enemies and Jesus does not means we should pray for them, bless them and do good to them. Do we want the church to be destroyed? Do we want the faith to be disappeared? Do we want our brothers and sisters in Christ to be killed to appease our enemies? NO!
Because God loves His children so whoever goes against them will be His enemy, as He had said in Exodus 23: 22.
EXODUS 23: 22 – But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
Christians are God’s spiritual children, so this saying is also for us. As God loves His children like that, we Christians should also love Him in the same way: Whoever goes against God and His principles will be our enemies. Only bastards and outsiders feel indifferent when parents are insulted or attacked, but God and His name have been attacked in this country for too long, and our enemies now are the ones who embrace communism, even in disguise of social justice or whatever matters to them. We don’t want to pray for Satan, so we don’t want to pray for those who are doing his biddings on Earth. We fight because of their evil schemes towards God, the belief in Jesus, His principles and His children.
Holy men and women understood it so well in the past that they proclaim clearly in Psalms 139: 21-22.
PSALMS 139: 21-22 – Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against Thee? I hate them with perfect hatred, I count them mine enemies.
Are we still standing idle when they are attacking God, His name, His church and His children? Don’t you see that when we try to reason with them, try to love them, they only take advantage of us and do more evil? It has already indicated such behavior from ancient times, as it was written in Ecclesiastes 8: 11.
ECCLESIASTES 8: 11 – Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
We should pray to God for guidance of how to deal with our enemies effectively, and remember to live according to His standards, so that when He punishes His enemies, you will not be among them. Remember Lot’s story. God’s people must stand far away to avoid collateral damage when God strikes those evil doers. In the meantime, don’t give a cent of your hard earned money to anything relating to them.
