Today we pray for Christian’s faith. It seems that when Christians go to the church we are seeking the comfort of being with others more than seeking God. It is not Christians’ priority anymore. Instead of using Scripture to be the foundation of the church, we let us to be influenced by every opinion of the society of how the church should be. Under the banner of love, Christians tend to forget what God declares in Scripture about what is right and wrong in order to accommodate more ideas and ways of life into the gathering of God’s children. We nowadays tend to focus on how other people feel more than what God demands. We all know that God’s way and the way of the world are two distinctive directions and we must choose our path according to God’s instruction, but it seems Christians do not care anymore. What we care is how other people think about us, so instead of obey God, we want God to love as we love the world and many Christians think that their love is bigger than God’s love as they embrace even the sin of Sodom in other people. They think they are better than God because they are more tolerance, more compassion, more understanding. They even think that God’s heaven should accepted all without prejudice. We wonder if they think they own the heaven, not God? They think Christ came to this Earth, to be mocked, beaten and died on the cross in order to make heaven looks like this Earth? with every kind of behaviors, every kind of sins? Do they know how absurd it is? The verse for today is:
(Galatinas 5: 17) For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
