Daily Bible
We Christians often call ourselves Jesus’ followers. We all know of His path that He took while on Earth doing His ministry, from Bethlehem in Judea to Golgotha just outside Jerusalem. That is also the path we are taking after Him spiritually. How many of us are willing to walk all the way till the end? Sadly there has been many who abandoned it in many aspects, and essentially abandoned Him. Many of us have stepped back, stepped aside then walked in our own paths before it even reach Jerusalem in spiritual sense. Will the rest of us modern Christians continue to do so like them, abandoning Him eventually, one by one? This week in Biblical time Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem to suffer under the hands of the Romans and His own people. He knew it but He kept pushing onward because of His love for us, for all mankind. Are we going to follow Him there, too, accepting our fate under the hands of the world and the wicked? May God give us strength and courage to be suffered with Him, to be worthy of His love, to share the burden of the cross and the searing pain from the nails. May God judge us being worthy with our lives and faith while living on Earth so that everyone of us who are still on the path will be called to rise in glory from death on the day He returns. Amen. The verse for today is:
(John 11: 16) Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.”
(Giăng 11: 16) Nhân đó, Thô-ma, gọi là Đi-đim, nói với môn đồ khác rằng: Chúng ta cũng hãy đi tới đó đặng chết với Ngài!
