Daily Bible

As we have lived many years on Earth, we eventually come to understand some of the truth in the Bible. Jesus said that there are wheat and tares in this world. The wheat are sons of the kingdom and the tares are sons of the evil one. That means there are two kinds of people living together right now on Earth and they are physically undistinguishable from each other. Only at the end of time that they can be separated by angels (Matthew 13: 39). When we looked up information for this year election, we saw that there are many people who are so capable of doing evil things without a bit of conscience in them. They can do everything just for money, positions or self interest. For them nothing else matter. For them country, honor, patriotism have no meaning. This year election has exposed many ugly faces of the American society and surprisingly it seems there is nobody who actually do anything about it. Maybe there are some who are fighting corruption right now, but reality indicates that they cannot stop it, because things are still the same as before. Sometimes we really have a passionate desire to do something worth for this country, but when looking back at us we only see ourselves as little people without power or money to make a difference. We only have our knees before God asking for intervention, with our hope that this country is still in favor before Him to be blessed one more time.
The verse for today is:
(Psalm 55: 1) Give ear to my prayer, O God, and do not hide Yourself from my supplication.
(Thi thiên 55: 1) Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin hãy lắng tai nghe lời cầu nguyện tôi, chớ ẩn mặt Chúa khỏi lời nài xin tôi.
