The fiscal year of 2016 ended on September 30 and now we know that this country has accumulated a huge total debt of more than 19 trillion dollars (more than 1.4 trillions in fiscal year 2016 alone). This burden will crush the future American generations but it seems nobody cares and we means the general populace as well as the politicians and government officials. Although there has been a lot of talks opposing to the debt but nobody does anything, only lip service. Although there were some street protests, but they were just a handful of people. For more than 300 million citizens, those protests were like putting one tiny spoon of sugar into the ocean. It does not make any difference. So it seems the motto of this modern day is to live for today and no need to worry about the future. But that debt eventually will take effect on the whole society and surely many consequences will follow.
The verse for today is:
(Romans 13: 8) Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
(Rô-ma 13: 8) Đừng mắc nợ ai chi hết, chỉ mắc nợ về sự yêu thương nhau mà thôi, vì ai yêu kẻ lân cận mình ấy là đã làm trọn luật pháp.
