Daily Bible

The other day we came across a short writing of someone who criticized Abraham for his willingness to kill his only son by God’s order. We wonder that if that person were so eager to criticize Abraham, did he also criticize soldiers who were willing to kill someone by order from politicians even they were crooked and corrupted? When he criticized Abraham, did he also criticized pilots who were willing to obey their commander’s order to bomb cities and villages even there were women and children living there? In 1945 they knew that there were thousands of children in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but they bombed them anyway. Although they wanted to stop the war, but is it right to do the horrible thing like that? When the one who penned that short writing criticized Abraham, did he also criticize Americans who were willing to kill their own babies while they were still in their mothers’ wombs just because the politicians, the judges, the media, the scientists said it’s OK to do so? God gave Abraham an ultimate test for his faith, but He never have the intention to kill the boy. But people nowadays are so willing to kill unborn babies just to get rid of them, to wash their hands clean from parental responsibilities. Even in animal world, some species never do that. And those people even consider themselves more humane than Abraham? Even in a rape case, do innocent babies have to be killed because of their fathers’ crime? If it is the case, why there are so many people walking around when their fathers are criminals, crooked and rapist politicians, murderous doctors, dentists, professors, lawyers, soldiers, policemen? There are really some serious contradictions in human argument of everything. The verse for today is:
(James 3: 8) But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
(Gia-cơ 3: 8) Nhưng cái lưỡi, không ai trị phục được nó; ấy là một vật dữ người ta không thể hãm dẹp được: đầy dẫy những chất độc giết chết.
