According to some statistics the American veteran suicide rate is approximately 22 people a day for all year round. Many of them killed themselves because they were denied medical services for their injuries from wars. It’s so sad to hear about that. They had sacrificed their youth, the best years of their lives and in return, they had been ignored by politicians and the system they created. The politicians only offer their lips service to the veterans, praised them as heroes who sacrificed for country, for people, for motherland, but in reality they were suffered and died because of politicians’ schemes and agendas, that’s why politician are truly the ones who have been profited the most from those sacrifices. Soldiers don’t make wars, politicians do. When soldiers died on battlefield, politicians got the glory and status. When soldiers died on battlefield, politicians became famous and remembered. When soldiers died on the battlefield, politicians became rich and more powerful. When soldiers died they got unmarked graves while politicians got their monuments and their names were recorded in history. We remember one old suggestion from someone that when nations go to war, put politicians first on battlefield to fight each others and they would sue for peace right away. But because they sit in office far from harm way, they are so willing to let millions died on both sides. We will never find love in a career politician. That’s why we wait for the day to be governed by our Lord Jesus Christ when He comes. The verse for today is:
(Jeremiah 23: 5) Behold, the days are coming, say the Lord, that I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
