The number of people in U.S. died of drug overdose continues to rise year after year, according to some reports. The death rate from suicides also rose. The trends indicate that Americans have not been happy with their lives and they need drugs and more drugs to overcome personal depression. That’s one of the effects that people get when they turn away from God. Statistic shows that the numbers of Americans who depend on pain killer drugs are as high as never seen before, particular in young people. On the other side of the story we know many Christians who are well in their fifties and never use any drugs except some Tylenol when they were sick. Faith and simple, content life is a best way to fight drug abuse tendency, but people keep refusing Jesus. That’s OK, that’s their choices but how awful it is of the consequences that follows. The verse for today is:
(Proverbs 17: 22) A merry heart does good, like medicine; But a broken spirit dries the bones.
