In the era of Internet people can be able to access to a lot of news and information (trustworthy or not) and it helps to shed light on many things that were not heard of in the old days. Recently we read news about Delaware as a tax shelter for many corporations and individuals. In one example, one address is used for nearly 285,000 companies to dodge tax. The corruption in many aspects of American society is so rampant that one may wonder where this country will be heading in the near future. One of many things we know of that when a person does not fear God, or more exactly, does not believe in God anymore, he or she can do anything for personal gain. It is true for people of faith, too. They may have an outward appearance of believers but if deep down in they hearts they have no place for God, their acts can always be contrary to the standards of the Scripture. So, for us, we should keep our hearts faithful to the Lord in order to win the battle against temptation. With the Lord’s help, we hope we will keep on winning until the day He comes. The verse for today is:
(1John 5: 4) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
