Daily Bible
The government reminds people that the last day to file tax return is coming on April 15. In U.S. there is a saying that people cannot avoid two things in their lives: death and tax. Some states even tax the deceased and the law of this country taxes all citizens living abroad no matter how long they live there. Americans can only stop paying tax to this government when they renounce their citizenships which is a very arduous process. In the Bible Jesus said we should pay back whatever belongs to this world and must pay back what belongs to God which is our souls. Everyone who has ever lived on this Earth must face Him one day and answer to Him how they treated their souls. The rewards and punishment will be issued according to how a person lived and how he/she maintained the relationship with God. It’s so unwise when a person think that although he/she has to pay taxes to the earthly governments but he/she somehow can avoid to pay what is belongs to the One who is governing the whole universe. Although God has given everyone a chance to prepare for that day but a lot of people never take it seriously enough. It will be a regret for eternity. The verses for today are:
(Ecclesiastes 12: 6-7) Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel is broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the Earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
