We all know that life is short and everything here on Earth is temporary. We are here and someday we will be gone. That’s for sure. Only in God’s kingdom that things will be forever and we will be forever. That’s why our aim should focus to that distant destination. It is not too far from our reach but at the same time it would be very hard to get. It depends on how we live on this Earth. Jesus said ‘Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven’. There are billions of Christians around the world and all of us believe in Jesus, but how many of us are willing to live according to His will? Jesus did not mean just some of them, but all. In His teaching Jesus did not ask us to do some of God’s commands that we think are suitable for us to follow and ignore the hard ones. God wants us to obey all of the commands and standards that He sets forth for us in the Bible. Who are among us who is willing to go distant in obedience to do God’s will? The verse for today is:
(Matthew 7: 21) ‘Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven’.
