Daily Bible
We pray God to help we Christian to live according to the standards that were written in the Bible. Today we want to mention the habit of drinking wine and beer among Christians. Many people argue that drinking is not a sin and they never get drunk themselves. Because of that they think it’s OK to continue. But in the Bible Paul said that we should consider to stop eating or drinking of whatever that can make our brothers or sisters stumble and affecting their faith. We can drink responsibly but other people cannot and if they see we drink they will drink, too, get drunk and may do something bad that they don’t even try when they are sober. Therefore, according to the Bible we should stop drinking completely because of our love for them and do not want them to stumble by what we did. Paul had that commitment before and we should follow his example because it is what God want us to do. So the verses for today are:
(Romans 14: 21) It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.
(1Corinthians 11: 1) Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
(Rô-ma 14: 21) Điều thiện ấy là đừng ăn thịt, đừng uống rượu, và kiêng cữ mọi sự chi làm dịp vấp phạm cho anh em mình.
(1Cô-rinh-tô 11: 1) Hãy bắt chước tôi, cũng như chính mình tôi bắt chước Đấng Christ vậy.
