Today we learn about Abraham’s faith when God’s asked him to sacrifice his only son Isaac as a burn offering. The Bible does not record any hesitation on his part. Instead Abraham woke up early in the morning and took his son to Mt. Moriah with his two servants. It took three days for him to get there and in all those time the Bible never record of any argument that Abraham had toward God. His faith was so strong and his obedience was so perfect that he was called the father of faith of all mankind. Nobody has faith like him. People sometime are not willing to sacrifice their time, even one hour on Sunday for God. Others, although they go to church regularly, do not want to give up more than one hour for Him. When the service takes longer than one hour many of them show sign of discontent, unhappy, restless, even angry. That is the kind of faith of many Christians have nowadays. If we mere mortals can see that, surely God can see that, too, and deep down into their hearts. May God forgive us and help each one of us to have better obedience, better faith in Him. The verse for today is:
(Hebrews 11: 6) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
