CONSEQUENCES OF SINS

ISAIAH 13: 11 – “I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible”.

– According to the Bible, diseases are one of consequences of human’ sins.

ISAIAH 53: 5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

– Although the above verse expresses God’s love for humans through the suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ, but it also let us know that punishments including diseases are upon us because of our sins to God and to each others in this life.
– God created everything, including viruses and diseases. But they were created to punish Satan for his sins against God.
– Before anyone wants to criticize God in this matter, let ask yourself this question: In your home, in order to teach your children to behave rightly, do you have some kind of punishments, or you just have only rewards for them? After you answer this question, you will know why God created some kinds of punishment for Satan first, and for the world later on.
– Did you ever criticize the government of some punishments that they issued in the laws in order to keep this society safe and enjoyable for everyone?
– If you can accept sentences from human judges even they are not perfect, why can you not accept the kind of punishments that God imposes on humans for their sins and wickedness?
– Answering these questions help you understand some of God’s plan for the world.
– God allows diseases to happen to people in order to turn them from sins.
– God uses diseases in two ways: Firstly, they happens to people as consequences to their sins. Secondly, when they happen to a righteous one (like Paul), diseases become a warning of sins, preventing one commits them and help a person to seek God for better future, in this life and for eternity.
