BIBLE COMMENTARY / Psalm 11: 4
PSALM 11: 4 – The LORD is in His holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: His eyes behold, His eyelids try, the children of men.
– God is Trinity, so at the same time that He sits on His throne in Heaven, He came into the world as Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for mankind’s sins. After Jesus ascended back to Heaven, the Holy Spirit was sent out to be with men until the end comes (Isaiah 66: 1, John 10: 30, Acts 5: 32).
– God’s temple in Heaven is the holiest in all the universe and beyond. Being able to live with God in His temple is the most precious gift, given to only those who believes and follows His standards (Psalm 70: 4).
– From His throne in Heaven, God observes how mankind lives in order to reward or punish them according to their thoughts and actions (Proverbs 15: 3).
