BIBLE COMMENTARY: Luke 18: 1-8

LUKE 18: 8 – I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?

– This is one of Jesus’ saying that Christians should pay attention closely to,
– This saying has been in the Bible from the time of Luke and because Jesus never lies (1Peter 2: 22), so Christians should take heed from it seriously,
– Nowadays there are more than two billion people who say that they have faith in Jesus, but why He said that when He comes back to Earth, there will be little faith among Christians that it seems there is no faith at all?
– There are maybe two scenarios that would happen: The Christian population was swept out completely on Earth, which is unlikely because God certainly does not allow that happens.
– The second scenario is no Christian actually following His teaching in the Bible correctly as it should be therefore their self-supposed faith is not a real one in God’s eyes. This is more likely than the first.
– How can you explain this saying? Do you have enough faith to believe that it’s a prediction of the time when Jesus comes back to Earth?
