BIBLE COMMENTARY / Job 12: 10
JOB 12: 10 – In Whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
– God is the One Who will judge all mankind at the end. He will decide who will live happily forever with Him in Heaven, and who will suffer in hell for eternity (Ezekiel 18: 4, 20).
– Humans have souls because God breathed His breath, the breath of life, into Adam when He made him (Genesis 2: 7) and then from Adam, multiplied into billions of other souls (1Corinthians 15: 45).
– God is also the One Who decides how long a person lives on this Earth, according to his deeds (1Kings 3: 14, Ecclesiastes 8: 13).
