CHOSEN BY GOD

Bible: 1Peter 2

Main Verse: 1PETER 2: 9 – But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

– We Christians are chosen by God. Jesus Christ’ Good News have spread around the world but not all mankind believe in Him. Our faith in God and Jesus Christ is the proof that we are chosen by God.

– We are chosen not by our personal talents or values, but by the grace of God.

– God has chosen us from all nations, all races and all cultures.

MATTHEW 24: 31 – And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

– God has chosen us so that we can represent Him to the whole world, to show the differences between His standards and the standards of the world.

– That is why we Christians are hated by those who are against Him.

JOHN 15: 19 – If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

– Because of that we Christians should rather focus on how to live a life to please God than trying to please men.
